A very small amount removes carbon and dirt that has adhered to sliding electrical contacts, jacks, and connectors, protecting contacts such as electronic devices from oxidation and sulfurization. It prevents and stabilizes contact resistance due to contact wear, extending the life of the contact. As it is a chemically stable, synthetic oil-based non-silicone type, there is no need to worry about contact damage caused by low molecular weight siloxanes and does not invade most materials.
