This is a leaded (general) type of surface mount component removal kit. Special low-melting point (about 60°C) solder mixes with the solder that had mounted the parts, allowing easy removal of surface-mounted parts with a single soldering iron, even for surface-mounted multilayer boards and multi-pin ICs and connectors. The special flux is an RMA (halogen-free) type that is friendly to the environment and components. The high viscosity type is also suitable for reworking SMD parts. This single kit can remove approximately 1,500 pins.
