When removing the IC from the board, the IC is pulled straight upward, so it pulls out quickly without damaging the IC or IC socket. It can be easily operated with just a finger in either vertical or horizontal directions. By replacing the included guide, you can accommodate two types of IC widths. The A guide for 0.6 inch wide ICs supports 24/28 pins, while the B guide for 0.75 inch wide ICs supports 24-64 pins.
