While a separate power supply unit must be prepared and wired when conducting experiments or learning on a breadboard, the SRX-42PD can output two types of voltages commonly used in digital circuits, +5V and +3.3V, simultaneously with the included AC adapter (up to 2.5A total when using both voltages). The AC adapter is also equipped with an overcurrent protection circuit for peace of mind in the event of an emergency.
