When removing an IC from a board, the IC is pulled straight up, so it can be pulled out quickly without damaging the IC or IC socket. Can be operated easily with a single finger in either vertical or horizontal direction. 0.3" wide and compatible with ICs with 14/16/18/20 pins (when used with 20-pin ICs, it may be somewhat hard and difficult to pull out).
